Forearm

Published on Locomotor system.

The forearm is located between the elbow, the joint that controls radical changes in direction in our lives regarding our path and our goals, and the wrist, which is the most flexible joint in the human body and allows transmission of action to the hand, which, therefore, allows fine-tuning of movements before a decision takes place.

The sense of confirmation extends from the shoulder to the hand (from the least concrete to the more concrete). Accordingly, the forearm represents the capacity to start doing something that was already accepted (something that started at the elbow). It represents, for instance, the difficulty to choose the means to act. When the person fails to find the means to act in the most practical way, he feels undervalued. His self esteem is at stake. Perhaps the person was influenced by a third party or perhaps he simply has a poor image of himself. In general, the right forearm is yang (masculine) and the left forearm is yin (feminine). This applies to left-handed and right-handed people. We must remember, however, that we are in the most yang part of the human body and that the locomotor system polarity is not always obvious. See Body polarity.

Problems in the yang forearm reflect undervaluation or inflexibility due to the presence of a third party (a man?) or the person’s obsessive beliefs. The person does not want to listen to his body. The body feels inept to perform some predominantly masculine task related to work or a job. The person feels that he can not get closer to his goal but insists, causing damage to the forearm. The person does not feel confident, but prefers to ignore it and strains the body.

Problems in the yin forearm reflect undervaluation or inflexibility due to the presence of a third party (a woman?) or the person’s obsessive beliefs. The person violates his sensibility and does not realize that he lacks confidence in himself regarding some emotional issue; he shows lack of respect for himself.

Any problem in the forearm muscle indicates inflexibility and undervaluation; a problem in the bone shows strong undervaluation; and a problem in the skin indicates separation anxiety or difficulty in communication.
