Pericarditis

Published on Circulatory system.

Pericarditis is an inflammation of the pericardium, which is the sac covering the heart. It happens when someone close threatens the heart, whether physically or symbolically. It often occurs following a heart attack or chest angina, when the tension becomes: “I need to protect my heart.” This happens when the person is afraid that his heart might be hurt.

The pericardium is part of the membranes covering the body, of the sacs whose purpose is to defend from attacks that can be verbal or physical. Given that the heart is the centre of our emotions and feelings, it can be said that the person felt his emotions threatened by someone. Someone has threatened this person’s feelings. As if the person was not allowed to feel what he feels. This person is close, and most probably is part of the family. Maybe even be at home. Could it be the partner?
