The word comes from the Greek osteos, which means bone, and myelos, which means marrow.

Osteomyelitis is an infection of bone marrow, usually caused by bacteria or a fungus, that can stay localised or spread out, compromising the bone marrow, the cortical part of the bone and the periosteum.

According to some doctors, this designation is incorrect, because this symptom corresponds to an inflammation not of the bone marrow but just of the cortical part of the bone (the cone itself).

It denotes emotional pain, anger and frustration regarding life. “I feel I have no support”. It means undervaluation and that a person has annulled himself.
