Eyes - strabismus

Published on Vision.

In order to see an object in its full dimension, we need two images. However, if the visual axes of the eyes are not aligned, the eyes will turn inwards (convergent strabismus) or outwards (divergent strabismus), because two non-coincident images are formed in each of the eye’s retinas. Therefore, the brain chooses to show only one. And it will show us the image projected by the eye with the correct axis.

Everything becomes flat, even, without depth. The person starts having a distorted and unilateral vision.

The crossed-eye person is someone who has decided to see life from just one perspective, be it the paternal or the maternal.

See Eyes – convergent strabismus and Eyes – divergent strabismus.
