Wrist

Published on Locomotor system.

This is the joint with more mobility in the entire body. The wrists allow the connection between the forearm (that means the capacity to start and complete something that has already been accepted following the difficulty in choosing how to act) and the hand (that represents understanding, gentleness, capacity to hold on to what one has achieved, give and receive tenderness).

Therefore, the wrist is the joint that allows action to be transmitted to the hand, that supports the gesture and decides on the fine-tuning of that gesture before the decision to carry out the action as well as possible is made, and thus obtain the best result for the person.

Thus, the wrist is a joint that allows the hands’ dexterity to show with increased tuning and better support. As in the case of other joints, the keywords are inflexibility and undervaluation. If the support for the gesture is not good, the person feels undervalued. This may happen if the person hears his gesture is being criticised, which makes him feel humiliated and undervalued. If the person is inflexible regarding his own person and the quality of the support he managed to fine-tune for the gesture, be it in its delicate dexterity, be it in a sport, be it in the delicate gesture he needs to make to someone, then he may develop a problem in his wrist.

Problems in the wrist may affect the bones, tendons or the skin. Problems in the skin denote a tension associated to separation or difficulty communicating with someone. Problems in the bones indicate strong undervaluation: “I am no good at this. I am not worth much at this.” Problems in the tendons also reveal undervaluation and inflexibility. At the onset, although it may not always be like this, when we refer to the yin/yang polarity of the joints of the locomotor system, the right side is yang (masculine) and the left side is yin (feminine). This applies to everyone, both left and right-handed people. In any case, we are in the presence of a tension that is associated to undervaluation and inflexibility, independently of the side of the body that is affected. See Body polarity..

Problems in the yang wrist denote problems with a man (or lack of his own flexibility as a man, in case the person is a man). Problems in the yin wrist denote problems with a woman (or lack of her own flexibility as a woman, in case the person is a woman).
