Windpipe is another word for Trachea

Published on Breathing system.

The trachea is the long pipe that starts at the larynx (breathing system), opposite the oesophagus, and ends in the chest cavity, at the vertebral level of C5 (see vertebrae – cervical vertebrae and of the sternum, where it bifurcates into the bronchi. The trachea transports the air from the upper airway routes down to the bronchi and lungs.

Tracheitis is an infection of the trachea. The person felt attacked by someone. This infection does not come alone. If the trachea is infected, this means there is some other infection in the respiratory system.
