Sexual energy creates life. It is the vital energy of the human body. Impotence is the incapacity of the male to consummate the sexual act due to the inability to have an erection. The erection results from the hardening of the penis caused by blood pressure on the veins. This, in turn, results from the pressure of the muscles that surround those veins. Blood circulation represents the distribution of life and/or happiness around the body.

Circulation problems expose a lack of joy in living, a lack of love for one aspect or another of my life and even a lack of self-love.

Impotence shows the man’s inability to live out his masculinity in a sexual relation. The erection and sexual act that follows give the man an incidence of pleasure. His pleasure and hers!

Impotence illustrates the lack of vitality of the man in question, his lack of self-esteem and happiness. The keywords regarding impotence are ‘lack of self-esteem’ and ‘a problem with the masculine side’.

For that reason, impotence may have several causes.

We may be in the presence of a man who has assumed himself as a woman, who fully developed his feminine side and has adopted a submissive role in any relationship. This is the case with some homosexuals.

Impotence may also happen to a man who feels a great responsibility to fulfil a demanding sexual role and fears that he will not be able to live up to his partner’s expectations. In this case, he may develop tensions associated with guilt.

It may happen to a man who cheated on a partner, regrets it, and feels guilty.

It may also occur when a man totally resists his partner but is not aware of it. The body, through the symptom of impotence, makes the man aware of his feeling.

Finally, in rare instances, it may take place when a person experiences such a spiritual awakening that the body no longer interests him. This is the case of the person who renounces sex, not as a free or imposed decision, but simply because it happened as a result of his spiritual experience.
